Best Meditation Books Ever

Meditation Bookstore: Best Meditation Books Ever

The Power of Now is possibly the single best meditation book ever written on the subject of becoming fully “present” in this moment. While the book doesn’t explicitly use the word “meditation,” the experience that it provides the reader is essentially the same as that which we experience when we meditate. Since publishing this book, Eckhart Tolle has become a worldwide spiritual leader, initially put into the public eye by Oprah Winfrey and later going on to host conferences with people like Ram Dass and the Dalai Lama. If you’re going to read one meditation book, it should be this one.

Be Here Now is one of the iconic meditation books of our generation, spawning not only a huge following, but also popularizing its title phrase in the meditation-hippie counterculture. It tells the story of Dr. Richard Alpert, a prominent psychologist who worked alongside LSD-Guru Timothy Leary at Harvard University. After experimenting with psychedelics like LSD and psilocybin, Dr. Alpert went to India to seek out a meditation teacher who could help him recreate those spiritual experiences without having to use psychedelic drugs. It’s a very powerful story, and the book is a really fun, easy read. Check it out now by clicking on the book icon on the left. Enjoy 🙂
